WHAT IS
DYSLEXIA THERAPY?

Orton-Gillingham Based Program

Many students with dyslexia benefit from an explicit, structured, and multisensory approach to learning how to read. Dyslexia is an unexpected difficulty in reading that occurs despite strong thinking skills and a desire to learn. With the right instruction, students with dyslexia can become confident, capable readers.

Our Structured Literacy program is based on the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach—a proven, multisensory method that uses direct, systematic instruction tailored to each student’s needs. Lessons are delivered one-on-one in a supportive setting, allowing students to move at their own pace while building essential reading and language skills.

If you’re wondering whether this approach might be a good fit for your child, I’d be happy to talk with you to learn more about your child’s needs and to share how Academic Language Therapy can support your family’s journey.
